My Unusual Birthday Experience

I mentioned yesterday that my entire family enrolled in a skill acquisition program organized by my church and yours truly enrolled in a makeup and gele class. It’s so funny how everyone is surprised that ‘mummy wa’ is learning the art of makeup. Even me myself I’m surprised o.😀 I initially wanted to learn hair making but by divine orchestration , I was led to make up and gele class.

I’ve been asking the Lord though what’s in it for me because I don’t definitely see myself doing it professionally but like they say, “never say never”.

In all honesty , I’m enjoying the class and even if I don’t get to do it for anyone else , I’m gonna look good for my ‘bobo’. Amen? So while I’m in class today, an empty carton from a makeup kit fell from a lady, so I called her attention to it , thinking it was an accidental fall, to my utmost surprise, the lady said it was intentional, that she wasn’t in need of it anymore.

I was shocked ! Seriously? You want to trash something and you dropped it off in class , a church premises? It’s not even the fact that we were in the church premises but the mere fact that she dropped it without batting an eyelid. Can you guess her reason? She said after all, the class would be swept at the end of the day. Just when I thought maybe ‘Na me dey overdo’, she repeated the same act again and another woman had to correct her . Then it dawned on me that this is just the way of life of some people and it ought not to be.

My mom taught me never to litter the ground as a child and that teaching has stayed with me and is being passed on to my children . Either I’m in church , my house or on the road , I don’t litter 🚯 the floor. I’d rather convert my hand bag 💼 into a waste bin than litter the floor.
