Are Wives Made for Multitasking?

Oh my heart is broken into several pieces at the thought of me leaving the boys (my husband inclusive ) as I journey to Lagos in preparation for the forthcoming 82hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise.

My boys were crying too that they wanted to come with me , the only consolation was when I told them they’d also be joining me next Monday by God’s grace.

Usually, we travel with them to the camp during the March Special Holy Ghost service . But then I kept thinking of how my darling husband would cope with the boys for a week. I found myself praying for him that God would strengthen and keep him.

If not that it was essential that I travel a week ahead of them, I wouldn’t want to leave my boys . Each day now comes with an awareness that I’m responsible for my husband’s welfare and care.

Truth be told, some things are just the area of strength of a wife, things like multitasking. I kept thinking how he’d be able to wash the children’s sportswear and undies like I always do. Even though I had cooked and portioned several meals like fried rice, beans and stew, I still couldn’t worry about how they’d cope . So I kept praying for them.

Hubby and the boys dropped me off at the airport. When we landed in Lagos, I got a cab to take me to my parent’s home at Ibafo. Would be staying there till next week because of proximity to Lagos where I’d be having rehearsals with Debola and the team.

Character is indeed everything in this life. The cab man was recommended by hubby and truly that guy is a humble , calm and responsible young man. I found myself praying for him to find a woman who would appreciate and love him for his good character and not for what he has.

We even had a conversation around it and he told me that his girlfriend always wants more from him financially . I just hope she doesn’t lose him because of money. Money is good but to every young girl out there , I’d say choose a guy with character over money. Money will always come but you see good character can’t be bought with money.
